Cadence Rides

Guide

Cheap Zwift alternative

Zwift and ROUVY both cost €19.99 a month (prices as of 12 October 2026). If you only ride indoors in winter, you pay that for something you use five months a year. There are cheaper ways, and they don't all do the same thing.

Which one fits you

If you mainly want to ride and race with lots of people, Zwift and MyWhoosh are the biggest. MyWhoosh costs nothing.

If you want to ride a real course, such as the bike leg of your triathlon, look at ROUVY (official, but expensive), Cycloscape, Biketerra or Cadence Rides.

If you ride on an iPad or Apple TV, the browser apps are out: Apple doesn't allow Bluetooth in the browser.

Why I built Cadence Rides

I'm Finn, a software developer and cyclist. When I wanted to train indoors, I was shocked by what it costs. So I built it myself, as a hobby: your smart trainer rides real roads with their real elevation profile, right in your browser. It has only just started. Until 31 December there's a free pilot, after that it costs €3 a month.

Try it free

What it isn't: a big platform with thousands of riders at once. If that's what you want, Zwift or MyWhoosh suit you better.
